In an effort to give students an opportunity to become safe, responsible drivers, who may otherwise not be able to afford a driver’s education program, the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation would like to provide support financially.
Eligibility:
1. Must be an enrolled student attending school in Ridgefield School District
2. Must be of age to enroll in a driver’s education program
3. Proof of financial need
Application and Funding:
1. Each applicant must complete the application form to receive a scholarship.
2. We accept applications on an ongoing basis and review the second Wednesday of every month during our board meeting.
3. Scholarships will be paid directly to a local new driver training program.
4. Funding will cover basic new driver training classes, one written test, and one driving test.
Scholarship Requirements:
1. Completed application
2. Use the scholarship proceeds only for the intended use.
3. Proof of enrollment in an RSD school
4. Proof of financial need (after receiving a complete application, RPSF will contact you regarding additional documents to support financial need).
