What is the Ridgefield Public Schools
Foundation?
It
is a privately funded, nonprofit organization. It serves as
a liaison between the Ridgefield community and the School
District to support our students' academic and social needs.
The foundation was established in 2009 by a small group of
parents looking for a way to fund programs and services in
our schools that are not funded from other sources. Specifically,
we want to target the areas where the Ridgefield School District,
PTA and Booster Club funding are not meeting the need.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Ridgefield Public Schools
Foundation is to support programs and activities that will
enhance the academic, social, and career development for all
of the students in the Ridgefield Public School District for
which public resources are insufficient or unavailable.
How it Works!
We raise funds in the community and make
grants to principals, teachers, clubs and students. We work
with the PTAs, Booster Club, principals, teachers and clubs
to identify the areas that need our support. The Ridgefield
Public Schools Foundation has three main goals:
- To support programs that enhance the
academic, social, and career development of every student
in the Ridgefield School District
- To fund scholarships to help students
and staff further their education
- To encourage community support for public
schools
