Overview

The purpose of our Art and Literacy Grant Program is the help fund projects and initiatives related to the arts and literacy. The Foundation is committed to enhancing and enriching the education experience of all students. We seek to fund projects that engage students in foundational reading, reading for knowledge, writing coherently, and listening and speaking for purpose. We also hope to fund projects that meet the artistic, creative, and musical needs of students. Projects can enhance, but may not replace district adopted curricular resources. Grants are not intended to replace normal school budget funding or items that would be considered normal school supplies.

Application and Funding

Each applicant must complete the application form to receive a grant. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and approved at our monthly board meetings. All applications will be submitted to school principals by the RPSF for review before consideration. Principals will consider if building budget would typically cover the proposal and if so, will not approve the grant going forward.

Grants will be paid directly to the Ridgefield School District. Disbursement of grant proceeds will follow the District’s procurement processes.

  1. Use the grant proceeds only for the intended use.
