Del Rouston Memorial Scholarship

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation, on behalf of Phyllis Kooyman, proudly offers the Del Roulston Memorial Scholarship in honor of her late brother. Del, a U.S. military veteran and truck driver, believed in championing the underdog and the transformative power of education. This scholarship supports graduating students with financial need, awarding one scholarship for university-bound students and another for those pursuing trade or technical education.

Scholarship amounts vary each year and will be determined in May, with awards granted in June 2026. Eligible students must have a clear educational plan and demonstrate financial need. Applications are due by April 15, 2026.

Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation Scholarship

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation offers scholarships to support graduating seniors in their pursuit of higher education. Award amounts vary each year and are determined in May, with recipients announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony in June 2026.

SEL Grant

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation (RPSF) is proud to support initiatives that enhance and enrich educational experiences for all students while addressing the needs of the whole child. This grant opportunity invites educators in the Ridgefield School District (RSD) to apply for funding to support projects that promote Social Emotional Learning (SEL) within their classrooms, grade levels, or school communities.

Accessibility Grant

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation Accessibility Grant supports educator-led projects that remove barriers to learning and promote equity and inclusion. Open to educators from the Early Learning Center through 12th grade, this grant funds resources like assistive technology, sensory tools, and adaptive materials to ensure all students—including multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and those from low-income backgrounds—can fully access their education. Priority is given to impactful, sustainable projects aligned with RPSF’s mission.

General Grant

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation fills funding gaps that the Ridgefield School District, PTA, PTO, the Ridge, and Booster Club cannot meet. We offer grant opportunities year-round to support staff and student needs. If your program falls outside the scope or timeline of our existing grants, apply for funding by submitting an application to info@ridgefieldpsf.org. Applications are reviewed monthly by the board.

Tanner Trosko Music Scholarship

Every child with musical potential deserves the chance to thrive. Thanks to a generous donation, the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation offers the Tanner Trosko Music Scholarship, honoring Tanner’s legacy. This need-based scholarship supports Ridgefield School District students (K-12) by covering the cost of music lessons and instrument rentals, helping to remove financial barriers to musical growth.

Teen Driver Scholarship

Helping students become safe, responsible drivers! The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation offers financial assistance to those who may not otherwise afford a driver’s education program, ensuring every student has the opportunity to gain this essential skill.

Art + Literacy Grant

Empowering creativity and learning! This grant funds projects that inspire a love for reading, writing, and the arts. We support initiatives that engage students in foundational literacy skills and foster their artistic, creative, and musical talents. Projects should enhance, not replace, district-approved curriculum.

STEM Grant

Inspiring hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and math! This grant supports projects that encourage creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving through interdisciplinary STEM education. Thanks to the Robinson Family Foundation for making this opportunity possible.
